Our love story begins in the summer of 2019. Chad was a student at Texas State University and was back home in Canyon Lake for the summer. Kayla had just graduated from Smithson Valley High School and was enjoying her last summer before college.

On July 16, 2019, they were both invited to a party by a mutual friend and were immediately drawn to each other. They spent those last few weeks of summer hanging out occasionally, but eventually Chad had to go back to San Marcos and Kayla stayed home to attend community college.

Before long, Kayla was spending most days in San Marcos with Chad. She fell in love with life there and the friends she had made in San Marcos, and ultimately decided to transfer to Texas State University in the fall of 2020.

Ever since then, Kayla and Chad have been inseparable. They have spent nearly 5 years at each other's side. In these 5 years, they have gotten an apartment together, attended many concerts together, and have gone on several vacations including Disney World, Colorado, and Gulf Shores. But most important to them are the two dogs they have raised in these 5 years, Asher (5) and Milo (2).

On July 29, 2023, after they had both finished school and earned their degrees, Chad asked Kayla to marry him. They relocated to Fredericksburg, Texas and have been enjoying life as an engaged couple.

We are so excited to start this next chapter of our lives together. We can't wait to share our love and celebrate our marriage with you all at our wedding!
